I'm back! I let you all wait for a very long time (maybe to long) for an update on this project. I promesed an update every week but I couldn't. I was painting whole the time. Frome today on I will give them.
First of all I can tell you that they are finished. Hurray! The figures are ready to go back on a trip to Germany. Pictures of the whole bunch will be shown in the last post of this subject. Not a parade like on Paul's Bods but all seperate.
Today I show you the officers. Ten of them in total. Strange thing was I found 11 horses for them.
Enjoy the pictures!
Two horses were painted later as this picture was taken. |
I hope you like them.
@Sean: you asked how I glue them on the horses after they are painted. I will not glue these, but if I should do, I would use woodglue. Strong and you can't see it after it dryed.
Welcome to my blog!!!!!
They look very good!! I also had an odd number of offisers horses, too few for the number of officers so I put them on other horses. Also only one trumpeter for 250!! :-D
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Paul! I have one officers horse in spare. The trumpeters are for my next post. Together with the flag bearers.

Wow I am painting the same regiment today, but I am only going to do one figure in 3mm supposed to be as they were May 5, 1757 at Prague, but I am using the Napoleonic figure and hoping the paint will obscure the wrong hat. They are too brittle to file it down, but probably too small to see it anyway. They were K.Palffy's then, and in the reserve.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Pete! Looking forward to those figures you're mentioning!

Great stuff; what a project. I'll give wood glue a try as well. I've been using white glue with a tiny drop of super glue up to this point.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Mike! It was a great project indeed. I don't think I've painted so many figures in one year!

BeantwoordenVerwijderencould you remind me what the name of the manufacturer?
(with so limited horses poses...)
Thanks Pascal! Actually there are three horse poses for the officers. I didn't count them for the troops, but there aren't much more.
