Wargamer.pl - Bonnie The Empress - 28 mm

Today I present to you a naughty little lady. This figure is from the company Wargamer from Poland. It is a 28 mm high white metal figure that I bought at the last CRISIS show. I first thought I bought a resin or 3D printed figure but after a good look I saw it was white metal with parts that had to be glued. And I hate glueing metal. At this moment I get a good result with superglue and white (wood)glue. There were also some trciky edges that were hard to reach with the brush. But at the end I'm happy with te final result. Have a look for yourself.

VVVVVVVVV

Being a boss of a big corporation is always a huge challenge. And when it is a French corporation... hmm... Say no more... Bonnie sometimes really has had enough. Worst of all is all that managing staff. If you watch them, they do what they are supposed to do (though behind-the-scenes intrigues, never-ending pressure for promotions and pay raises and constant flattery are pretty tiring), but when you let them out of your sight, it all goes like a house of cards. Merde! I think it will come to shedding this work and go to take a rest somewhere on the edge of the world... Maybe to some island?

Some more pictures!

Thanks for watching!

Dulcop - Napoleonic French Infantry - 54 mm

I was happy I could buy these two figures in another bunch of old figures. I love the Dulcop figures and I like to paint them now and then. these two were partly painted and I'm not sure if they were factory painted or someone made an attempt to give them some color. I think I may say I brought these two alive with my painting. One of the poses is a bit odd, it looks like he's dancing on the music, but I like them. Hopefully one day I find the other poses to.

Thanks for watching!

Stronghold Terrain - Richard Sharpe - 28 mm

This figure I bought at the last CRISIS at Sint-Niklaas. I always have been a very big fan of the Sharpe series and I couldn't resist buying it. It is from the company named Stronghold Terrain and it is 28 mm high. It painted very well and I'm happy with the way he looks now. I've painted this figure also for the Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge. I hope you like him.

Thanks for watching!

Hat 8003 British Rocket Troops

Today again some 1/72 scale figures. These Hat figures aren't bad at all. Nice sculpted and not to much flash. These painted very easy and also the equipment like the rockets and the wagon are very nice. what you see on the pictures is the result of one sprue of the set. A bit more information can be seen on Plastic Soldier Review.

History learned me that these rockets were a danger for the enemy as for the own troops. They weren't very accurate and landed very often between the own troops. Who wants to know more about these "congreve rockets" can read a lot more here on the wikipage.

The one in the front looks a bit odd but he just fired a rocket that was lying on the ground. So wtch out you never known where it will land! ;-D

I hope you like them.

Again some figures that were lying unfinished on my painting desk are done. And there is a lot more to come. Keep watching.

Italeri 6006 Russian Grenadiers Part 1

In my previous post I told you that I have to blame someone for painting this figures. But I mean it in a good way! In fact I had one of these on the painting desk for a very long time. Now she, yes it is a she, pushed me to paint him. As I need four figures for a stand I took three others out of the box and painted them.

Who is this she? Well it's Tamsin as the "Wargaming Girl" from the Rejects. It was in this post at her blog that she pushed me: here! Just have a look at the comments and you see what I mean. But I have to thank her, now the first ones are painted, I have the next four on the table. Thanks Tamsin!

I also have to thank her for something else. Some time ago she did a giveaway for her 4th blogiversary and 500K hits. I was so Lucky to win one of the prices of the drawing wich can be seen here! I won a very nice collection of 15 mm pirates. Now I have to find out what the best way is to paint 15 mm figures!

I borrowed this picture from Tamsin her blog!
Thank you very much for the figures Tamsin!

Well that's it for now. Now I'm going back to the painting table! There are some more figures asking for some paint!

FIGZ 2015 Special Waterloo Project

One of the members of Benno's Forum came up with an idea to make this years meeting something special in rememberence of the Battle of Waterloo 200 years ago. He called it: "The Bennos Figures Forum Waterloo Project or short the BFFFWP".

Main thing is he wants to make a rather big diorama with figures from different manufacturers and painted by as many as possible, members of the forum. I must say that he had big responce and the project is at this moment in his final stage.

The diorama will be shown for the first time at the meeting in Arhnem. More information about the meeting can be found here: http://www.figz.nl/ .

More information about how the project is going can be found here and some pictures of the painted figures, here.

So if you don't know what to do on the 7th of June, come and give us a visit in Arnhem! Hope to see you over there!

The next figure was my contribution for the project. He is the Chief of staff from the Prussian Army, Gneisenau. This metal figure is from Art Miniaturen. I hope you like him.

Hat 8300 Spanish Light Infantry

Busy, busy, busy! That's all I can tell about this period of the year! To much things going on and almost no time for the blog. Finally I found a little gap to post something. I must excuse that I din't comment all the comments in the previous post, but I will catch up on that next week, after the birthdays of my youngest son and my dearest wife. It's a promise.

After the colourfull figures in the previous post I present you some troops in white uniforms. These are the first figures of a little Spanish army I want to paint. The other troops are still in the mail, but they should arrive next week I hope! I ordered also some flags from Rofur.

White uniforms are not the easiest to paint, but I think the way I paint them now is good! First a layer of white paint, then a grey wash (Vallejo) and then a highlighting of the upper parts. It gives a good shading on them. I also like the contrast with the brighter colours, in this case some purple and red.

Well enough blabla, time for some pictures!

As you can see there are no command figures in this set! Hat was clever enough to make a seperate set with command figures for all three infantry sets.

This set of Light Infantry are mostly action figures. The Grenadiers and Line Infantry sets are more marching sets. I hope I can show them to you later on this year.

This picture and the one above I used for the Paiinting Competition at Benno's!

Some more from different angles.

I hope you like them!
