I'm not really a model maker, but sometimes I make something just for fun. This one is from Revell but original from Matchbox. I didn't build and paint the scenery included in the box, because the model is going this way in my showcase. I used the boxart for painting it. The cammo is from an unknown unit on the Western Front in Germany, spring 1945. Cammo colours: Ochre matt (revell 88, covered with green wash), Reddish brown matt (revell 37) and white. Tracks were done with rust matt (revell 83) and steel metalic (revell 91). The whole model is covered with some tamiya weathering powder sand.
I hope you like it.
And then about the Give Away. Edwin King is doing one on his blog Thougts of a Diplomatist. I all advice you not go over there because I need some things of his list very badly. If you think this isn't a good advice, just use the link and say something nice to Edwin!
Also welcome to a new follower:

Welcome to my blog!!!!!
Late war camo is so cool, especially on the Jadgpanther. I must someday get one in 1:48/50 scale - as I game WW2 with 28mm figs.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Dean! I hope that I can see that bigger model one day! Looking forward to that!

A Tank!!!? Peter...what´s happened!? :-D I was thinking of getting my Panzer Division back up to scratch. I´ve got two of those... Matchbox..cheap and fun..well until you start to build them..then the fun goes :-D the back drive wheels were always a Problem to fit..and the tracks seemed to be too small(?)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Paul! The track gave me some problems indeed. Luckely I let the wheels dry overnight before putting the tracks on them. When you have a close look at the pictures, you will notice a small gap where the tracks come together. I don't think they are to small. But I'm planning more of these models. I can't help it but I love them!

Nice an unusual camo. Late War camo is great especially with the german forces as some paved the path to the modern camo scemes we have today in use worldwide. The funny thing about this is that many scemes spring from the need to do something with the colours at hand. So when looking at old pictures you will find some wide variety of scemes most very improvised.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Markus!

Good stuff. I have to admit that when it comes to putting on the drive wheels, the Super Glue comes out on my desk. The paint job is superior.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Mike!

I've missed it, my god !
BeantwoordenVerwijderennice work ! models are not exactly what I prefer but I like yours because the colours are unusual (for me!)
