This is the Crisis 2009 figure. The figure is bases on a painting of “Pieter Breughel de Oude” which he painted in 1562.
If you want to read more about this subject, you can find it here.
Enjoy the pictures!
As you can see I’ve painted her a bit different as shown on the painting. I based my painting on this:
Childhood memories? How do they call in your country? |
I hope you liked the figure!
A new friend arrived:
Rosbif (Monsieur le Rosbif & Johnny Frog)
Welcome to my blog!!!!!
Nice big figure, well painted, great personality.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYup she is a well built lady! Great paint job!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh wow look at that fish in the bottom right corner of the Breughel painting. This is a cool concept, and a one-up on Dante. She does look a bt large in the 1562 painting, compared with the other victims in hell.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAha!!! 28mm calls :-D Good one
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCheers
paul
Nice blog and from an other Belgian! I've added you to my bloglist!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreets and keep up painting!
She looks great. I was to old (15) when Finn & Fifi (as they are called here) reached us. Instead I was brought up on Asterix, Lucky Luke, Spirou, Johan et Pirlouit and Tintin-albums.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks for the nice comments!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWell built? 28mm for +/- 10 grams? :-D
@Gunnar: Finn and Fifi. Funny names, and for certain the last one. That's a dog's name ;-)
Greetings
