This is something I made in 2010 for the 23th Painting Competition on Benno's Figures Forum. It's a German officer making a ride with his horse on the countryside.
The figure comes from the Revell Set 02515 German Artillery, one of the best sets Revell ever made. In fact so good I bought myself another two of these sets last august on holiday.
The story behind this vignette, yes there is one, is that I painted and based this figure in Belgium. Then I took it with me on holiday to Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany. There I took the following pictures. So I took this figure back to his homeland.
The figure is painted with acrylic paints.
Enjoy the pictures!
The following pictures are taken with flashlight. Not the best pictures but I wanted to show them.
The next pictures are just for showing how beautifull the country is over there. They are taken from our holiday adress. The mountain you see in the background is the Watzmann, and is the third highest in Germany.
Hope you like the pictures!

That's real dedication - perhaps I should paint some Spaniards (or Moors?) in preparation for my own holiday!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWelcome Tim!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood idea about those Spaniards (or Moors). Just do it and maybe some others will follow this idea :-D
