Again a figure that Pete from Tabakskollegium-Mekelnborg sended to me. Normally this figure is from the British Infantry set from Imex. You can see a review here on PSR. It’s just because I see him on the other side for my AWI project.
Plan is to paint more of these British Infantry men into American Regular troops to get more poses without doing conversions on them. But more about that later.
Enjoy the pictures!
Hope you like him.

Welcome to my blog!!!!!
What a great miniature Peter and beautifully painted.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely painting....very clean. I´ve completely ovelooked this set and didn´t know they had a wounded one. Not a bad set, pity there are so many of the poses only once. The kneeling fig could be used to convert nearly all the standing ones. The one loading for example(far left row with drummer) He would look really good in a kneeling position.

Thanks Paul. As for the single poses, they re-arranged that in the re-issue of the Accurate set. The two bottom lines dissepeart and you get three more kneeling figures. Much better to make a firing line, as was common in that period. Remember the scene in "The Patriot" at the end of the movie. Two armies face to face just shooting to eachother.
VerwijderenBut the special figures are a very good addition, with the riders and this wounded guy. The two with the case is something else, but I think this will become bluecoats to.

Unique and well-painted figure! I recall another nice casualty figure (actually three) - the Airfix one in the French Napoleon infantry set. Dean
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Dean! About the casualty figure, I think the Airfix figure lying down (maybe both) can be converted. Cutting away the guns, and they would look okay to me.

Very nice job, Sir.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI really like how you've painted this figure. It looks much better in blue.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Sean! That was my opinion to.

Very good job on an unusual pose.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat work as per usual Peter. Keep it up.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks cool! Well done.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery nice. The British box of figures is difficult to find any more. Hopefully they will be brought back into production again soon.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Matt! Not only the British is hard to find, but also teh American one. Both Imex boxes with the riders in it. Luckely I have both ;-)

He's very nicely done Peter....
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou done a good job on this figure, and a nice figure this is.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think I will add this one to my wishlist as well ;-)
Thanks Remco! That wishlist of you is growing fast!

nice characterful piece. Good paintjob and good idea using them to surplus the American troops
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice! Not being wounded, but your painting of him!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt looks better with Peter's work than I would have done it, and anyway I have a whole column of the Airfix casualties, the team of two carrying a third man. The dragoons can even be replaced nowadays with other figures, but the ones we see here are very rare, because they can no longer be obtained. Very good work.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHey Pete. Good to see you back around here. Thanks again for sending me these figures. And you gave me an idea mentioning that team of two. I have a couple of those to. ;-)
