Conversions? Here!

This one my zombie followers will like, I think? I made it in 2010, again for a painting competition on Benno's Figures Forum. It didn't get far, but it was fun making it anyway.

Now what have we got here?
Seems to me this man lost his head!

Mh, looks like a party going on!

The platform is scratchbuild with matches. It took me some time, but I'm happy with the result. The "Executioner" is from Valdemar's VI series. The man without his head is an Esci Barbarian. The one waving with the head is from the Zvezda Medieval Peasant Army. The guards are also from Zvezda. Both from the 100 Years war infantry sets, one English and one French.

Enjoy some more pictures!

I hope you like the little scene!

Currently painting: Zvezda Vikings (6/11) and some other things.

Currently reading: W.E.B. Griffin's The Colonels

  1. I dig the sword in the background...is it for just in case the axe proves a bit blunt! Also taken with the apparent frier's hair-cut, nothing I like more than a priest loosing his head!

    1. The haircut was done with the sword, before he used the axe. ;-)

    1. Now let's see. How long did I work on that platform? It's a long time ago, but I think with the drying of the woodglue, a day or three.

  10. That's horrible! How about a wooden warship next with cannonballs smashing through along the bloody decks?
