Imex English Officer

I finished another figure that I received from my good friend Pete from Tabakskollegium-Mekelnborg. More information about that you can read in my Imex Lord Cornwallis post.

He's painted almost the same way as Lord Cornwallis, the only thing I wasn't sure of was his helmet. Maybe a specialist of this period can give me some advice.

Have a look at the pictures:

Hope you like him!

Currently painting: Imex AWI figures.

Currently reading: Tom Clancy's Against All Enemies

  9. Even though we may think, at first, that the British Regulars would be the more likely to insist on regularity in headgear, as compared with the Americans who could be all over the map with variations, if we consider that Lord Howe's brother and Gage of the 80th Light-Armed Foot had promulgated a tradition of the British in North America cutting down regular uniforms to make for more practical movement, including coats and hats, and so maybe the headgear of a Light Dragoon in a flying column in North America several years into the war need not be as Regular as the first thought would indicate.
