Reconquer Designs - 3D - Medieval Warrior Monks - 28 mm

These figures were sended to me by Michele Gentile, thank you for that my friend. I painted these for the Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge. It's St. Raimundo de Fitero and an injured knight-brother. I didn't add a spear. I found it more realistic this way. I hope you like it.

Wargamer.pl - Bonnie The Empress - 28 mm

Today I present to you a naughty little lady. This figure is from the company Wargamer from Poland. It is a 28 mm high white metal figure that I bought at the last CRISIS show. I first thought I bought a resin or 3D printed figure but after a good look I saw it was white metal with parts that had to be glued. And I hate glueing metal. At this moment I get a good result with superglue and white (wood)glue. There were also some trciky edges that were hard to reach with the brush. But at the end I'm happy with te final result. Have a look for yourself.

VVVVVVVVV

Being a boss of a big corporation is always a huge challenge. And when it is a French corporation... hmm... Say no more... Bonnie sometimes really has had enough. Worst of all is all that managing staff. If you watch them, they do what they are supposed to do (though behind-the-scenes intrigues, never-ending pressure for promotions and pay raises and constant flattery are pretty tiring), but when you let them out of your sight, it all goes like a house of cards. Merde! I think it will come to shedding this work and go to take a rest somewhere on the edge of the world... Maybe to some island?

Some more pictures!

Stronghold Terrain - Richard Sharpe - 28 mm

This figure I bought at the last CRISIS at Sint-Niklaas. I always have been a very big fan of the Sharpe series and I couldn't resist buying it. It is from the company named Stronghold Terrain and it is 28 mm high. It painted very well and I'm happy with the way he looks now. I've painted this figure also for the Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge. I hope you like him.

Hagen Miniatures - Wild West Townsman

Second figure of the year and this time it is 28 mm high. It's from Hagen Miniatures and it is a wild west townsman. It was lying much to long on my painting table so I'm happy he is finally painted. It also was my second entry for the Analogue Hobby Painting Challenge. I hope you like him.

ACW Union Drummer

I've painted a brother of this 28mm figure four years ago for Christmas (Christmas Drummer). Now I have finally finished this figure to. I like it now and then to paint a figure of this scale but mostly they are LOTR of GW figures and not American Civil War. The figure came with some other figures in scale 1/72 and it was fun to paint. The brand is still unknown for me, so if someone has information about this figure please tell me.
I hope you like him.

LOTR Gothmog

Someone said it was Orctober so here is my contribution. Now and then I find it a pleasure to paint a figure of this range (Games Workshop). And this one was lying around here for some time. He is 28 mm high and is painted with acrylic paints. I hope you like him.

More info over this character you can find here:  https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Gothmog_(Lieutenant_of_Morgul)

And here is how he looked unpainted:

Asterix and the "vlaai"!

It could have been the title of a new Asterix adventure, but it isn't. It just the contribution I made for the multiple figures painting competition at the FIGZ meeting, of which the pictures can be seen in my previous post.

This is something that started years ago, and now it is a tradition at the meeting that I bring "Limburgse vlaai" as a tractation to the organisation and contributors of the meeting. the "vlaaien" are made of green stuff by my good friend Dirk in 2015 but he couldn't paint them in time so he gave them to me. Finally this year I found the right inspiration to do something with them and with the bubble gum Asterix figures I've been given by my other great friend Remco, I had the perfect combination. And the result can be seen here. Pity enough no prize with this work but it was fun doing it. I hope you like it to!

Thanks Dirk for making these "vlaaien" and thank you Remco for organising a day full of fun!

Oh and if you are wondering where that Asterix is, well he is hunting wild boars together with Obelix, otherwise there would be no "vlaai" to show, because Obelix could have eaten them! :-D

Asterix and the Britains 1

Today two figures of the Asterix in Britain comic book. One is the greenkeeper I painted for a duel against my good friend Remco from Remco Miniatures. The figures were a gift from him and his daughter in law picked one for the duel. The duel and the result of it can be seen here.

I tried to paint the figures like they look in the comic book, what is not always easy because I saw in the newer versions the colors have been changed a bit. Also the name was different from the first edition to the last one. The greenkeeper has no name as far that I know, but the cousin of Asterix has one. First he is called Notax, then it became Flegmatix and the latest version it is Anticlimax. For me, because I'm an old man, it stays Notax. Also because it is a little wink to my British friends!

So now I have written enough blabla, time for the pictures.

The two of them together.

Notax front.

Notax back.

Picture of Greenkeeper that I used as example.

I hope you like my two little friends and once again Remco, thank you for the figures. I hope to paint the other ones as soon as possible.
