Storme - Anicius

This is a figure from a very old collection of figures that came with a pack of coffee from the brand Storme. I believe in other countries they came with Mokarex and Mokalux coffee. And as I'm always in to paint something else, this was a great figure to paint. Nice sculpted with not to many details. Size of the figure is 54mm and painted with acrylic paint.

First I show you the end result and then how it looked when I received it. I think it looks much better now, but that is of course my personal opinion.

And a couple more of the finished figure

I hope you like it what I did with this figure. And if you have some of these figures lying around I can only say this, paint them or send them to me! :-D

Timpo 4005 Union Infantry

Painted again a set of Timpo, this time the American Civil War Union Infantry figures. It contains only 4 poses like the other Action Packs from this brand. But it are nice figures to paint. Nothing special just the usual Union uniform.

It looks like 3 of the poses are soldiers, and one an officer. But I'm not sure because he is wearing exactly the same uniform as the others. The only difference is that he is using a pistol, and not a gun.

And this is what I used as example for the uniform. Fantastic comic books by the way!

I hope you like them!

Asterix and the "vlaai"!

It could have been the title of a new Asterix adventure, but it isn't. It just the contribution I made for the multiple figures painting competition at the FIGZ meeting, of which the pictures can be seen in my previous post.

This is something that started years ago, and now it is a tradition at the meeting that I bring "Limburgse vlaai" as a tractation to the organisation and contributors of the meeting. the "vlaaien" are made of green stuff by my good friend Dirk in 2015 but he couldn't paint them in time so he gave them to me. Finally this year I found the right inspiration to do something with them and with the bubble gum Asterix figures I've been given by my other great friend Remco, I had the perfect combination. And the result can be seen here. Pity enough no prize with this work but it was fun doing it. I hope you like it to!

Thanks Dirk for making these "vlaaien" and thank you Remco for organising a day full of fun!

Oh and if you are wondering where that Asterix is, well he is hunting wild boars together with Obelix, otherwise there would be no "vlaai" to show, because Obelix could have eaten them! :-D
